T.Ellis : when did you start your brand Millian Couture NY ?                                  

Millian Couture NY : I started Millian Couture NY in 2017 when it was just a sneaker line,I took a two year hiatus and relaunched the brand to include not only sneakers clothing as well.       

T.Ellis : what kind of brand is Millian Couture NY ?                                                

Millian Couture NY : Millian Couture NY is an Affordable Luxury Brand for those who like to express themselves and out loud.this is why we use vibrant patterns and colors when we design our pieces.                                      

T.Ellis : what inspired you to start Millian Couture NY ?                                  

Millian Couture NY : anyone that knows me will tell you that my mother is my biggest inspiration, she is who inspired me to start my brand.My mom is the most driven and creative person I know.I watched her make from shirts,shorts, pants etc from scratch.As a small child it was my first time even seeing a pattern or what the design process looked like.                                                  

T.Ellis : what does Millian Couture NY represent ?                                                  

Millian Couture NY : Millian Couture NY represent legacy and community. My brand is not just about making clothes and sneakers, it's about.           " Mali "  " Mali " stands for making A lasting impression.we never saw the dinosaurs, however, their bones are still around thousands of years later.   it's important to make an impact and lasting impression while we are here. I call my community the " Millianheirs" because at the end of the day life is wealth, health is wealth, who we are naturally represents wealth.from our black skin to our ingenuity.                                

T.Ellis : where can the people buy Millian Couture NY ?                                  

Millian Couture NY : we currently have an online store but we are looking to expand our brand into physical locations soon.                          

T.Ellis : where do you see Millian Couture NY in two years ?                        

Millian Couture NY : To be honest in two years time I'm not sure because I set a goal and within in a matter of months what I think will take years comes to fruition sooner rather than later.if I have to set a time frame I see us in Milan or Paris for fashion week unveiling our Fall/Winter collections.   

T.Ellis : is Millian Couture NY for everyone ?                                                    

Millian Couture NY : yes we are an inclusive brand that is made for Men,  Women, and children.                               

T.Ellis : how was it growing up in Brooklyn New York ?                                

Millian Couture NY : growing up in Brooklyn was crazy at times I endured some hardships early on. those experiences made me more aware of the world around me because I was naive to a lot of things. My naivete led me outside where I discovered another life in Fashion.I will never forget the 90s because we had the best of everything.it was when Fashion, Black Fashion was at it's height.we had Bamboo earrings,    Nefertiti' rings, adorned nail art, elaborate hair designs, and I had my first introduction to Dapper Dan. A pioneer in the Fashion industry.            

T.Ellis : does New York has any influence on Millian Couture NY ?         

Millian Couture NY : New York definitely plays a huge role in my brand.it is where I directly draw my ideas from. New York culture is it's own and like no other.                              

T.Ellis : how would you like Millian Couture NY to be thought of and remember ?                                                

Millian Couture NY : I want my brand to known as a representation of who we are as a people strong, resilient, and timeless.
