T.Ellis : when did the group Klymaxx get started ?

Klymaxx : sometime late 1979.

T.Ellis : how did y'all decide to become a all female group ?

Klymaxx : it was just a idea like a "what if..." and then the discussion of ideas went from there.

T.Ellis : what role does each group member have ?

Klymaxx : we have a drummer, bassist, keyboardist, guitarist and vocalist.

T.Ellis : what separates y'all from other female groups ?

Klymaxx : we are the only self contained all female R&B band that has charted in Billboard magazine.

T.Ellis : what was the experience like touring the world ?

Klymaxx : it was a lot of fun and a lot of work. but doing what you love to do keeps you enduring the work involved.

T.Ellis : are y'all currently on tour now ?

Klymaxx : we are currently doing spot-dates across the U.S. meaning that they concert are not necessarily scheduled all together but they are consistent.

T.Ellis : how many of y'all albums went platinum or gold ?

Klymaxx : one.

T.Ellis : was the music industry different then verses now ?

Klymaxx : Yes very much so.

T.Ellis : does the group currently have any new music out ?

Klymaxx : We have released a couple of recent singles that can be found on our website and all digital platforms.

T.Ellis : is the group independent or sign with a label  ?

Klymaxx : Right now we are currently sign to a distribution deal with MPRE, that we work together with in releasing new music for the band.

T.Ellis : as a group how did y'all maintain to remain together ?

Klymaxx : for any group to work together in a long term situation, all the members must respect and support each other and not make it like its a competition between each other.

T.Ellis : how does it feel to be legends in today's industry ?

Klymaxx : I am honored and don't feel the impact of of music until I see the attendance at our concerts and when the fans come up to me and tell me their individual stories of what the music and time period meant to their lives at that time.

T.Ellis : as a group did y'all achieve all the goals you set out to ?

Klymaxx : I don't feel so; and there are too many factors to name and go into detail as to why it didn't, but I can say that it was a great opportunity to live our dream as long as it lasted and touch so many peoples lives with our music.

T.Ellis : how would you want to Klymaxx to be remembered ?

Klymaxx : That our music reminded the listener, "I now I was looking good, as I walked into the room and made the men/women all pause" and sing the lyrics as you are going about your day to remember how awesome you are. ( From the song: The Men All Pause " )
