Artemis Raven born in North Miami, FL as Cynthia Yvette Corbett to the parents of Angela M. Corbett and Clyde M. Corbett is an established 2015 Grammy Nominated independent recording artist. Often not heard from but powerful when heard, Artemis began her musical journey in church from childhood and began to utilize her talent for writing at an early age. Six years old is when she recalls writing her 1st gospel song for the youth choir to sing. Her love for literary arts would expand to Raven writing poetry, and later dabbling into rapping. Throughout her teenage years she joined a would be girl group and was the lyricist; being a vocalist wasn’t at the forefront during her early journey of music. As an avid lover of dance and music, she often rehearsed choreography and aspired to be a choreographer.

By her senior year of highschool, that is when she discovered singing as another attribute as she covered a rendition of Mary J. Blige’s “I’m going down” Rose Royce remake during a talent show with a former schoolmate. Artemis continued on to become an all around artist by intertwining rapping, singing and dancing. As college approached, she took a liking to modeling and a bit of acting where she portrayed MC Lyte in a playwright role and joined  M.E.I.S.A (Music, Entertainment, Industry Student Association) and volunteered to assist backstage with models for fashion shows. No stranger to writing, she also took up report writing where she landed a small gig as one of the campus journalists covering movie reviews, campus events, and a one on one interview with a prospective United States presidential candidate at the time.

By 2003, she decided to pursue music with an underground record label; wanting to just rap, but by them already seeking another female rapper as 1st lady, she was pushed into singing where she wrote and co-wrote for other artists. Artemis' first short-lived professional performance was at the Miami Arena and from there life took a turn.

Raven re-entered the music scene  in 2011 after a hiatus from parenting. She embarked on a Florida City to City tour. Leading to now, Raven became grammy nominated in 2015 as a trio named RAPtor ENT, became a indie underground radio personality in 2018, and dropped a few singles between 2012 to 2021 and her 1st EP release in 2022.

Artemis has been featured on several top blog sites such as This Is 50, The Source…, just to name a few.
