T.Ellis : how was life growing up ?                                    

Ice Dogg : Honestly I couldn't complain cuz the world wasn't like it is now. Raised in Acorn projects,   in West Oakland had a variety of things, but the adults in that time made sure us kids stayed in our lanes.                                                                                   

T.Ellis : when did you first develop A love for music ? 

                                                                                              Ice Dogg : between three and five years old.my Dad was a professional drummer,so it stuck with me.        

T.Ellis : who were your musical influences ?                  

Ice Dogg : Cab Calloway,Nat King Cole, Count Bassie, Miiles Davis,Isaac Hayes, Quincy Jones, George Clinton,Bootsy Collins, Barry White,Roy Ayers,.            

T.Ellis : when did you first start rapping ?                      

Ice Dogg : when I was seventeen.                                   

T.Ellis : what was it about the genre of rap music that drew you to it ?                                                          

Ice Dogg : Hip Hop was in the forefront, and the East Coast had set the foundation.im more so over the West Coast, where I'm from emerging great artists, introduced Rap Music and Gangsta Rap, so I experimented between both elements and crafted my own style.                                                                      

T.Ellis : what's the name of the rap group you started with before going solo ?                                      

Ice Dogg : We'll I'm never solo I'm currently in a group called Tha M.O.B.B.I just have a lot of stuff I do outside the group.                                                       

T.Ellis : how many group projects ?                                

Ice Dogg : three releases of our maiden album Never Trust Them Hoes a few appearances on compilations, and maxi-single.                                        

T.Ellis : as A group which label y'all were signed to ?   

Ice Dogg : we were signed to a independent label called Bounce Records.                                                    

T.Ellis : doing music on your own how many projects you have out ?                                                                    

Ice Dogg : three studio albums, a maxi-single  a lot of singles, and appearances on compilations, and other artists projects.                                                        

T.Ellis : your currently with Universal Music  Group how did that deal happen ?                                

Ice Dogg : An excellent team time and hard work.      

T.Ellis : what's the name of your Record Label ?           

Ice Dogg : Kelly - Franklin Music Group.                         

T.Ellis : how do you separate being a artist from a business man ?                                                                  

Ice Dogg : clear my desk and calls on the business side, and go at my personal music, when everybody else is out my way.                                                             

T.Ellis : what advice your younger self can carry on to your older self  ?                                                            

Ice Dogg : Well I can say this much mistakes have been made along the way, and was a serious learning curve.so I took the bitter with the sweets, and kept going when I wanted to quit at times.but I don't see that ever happening lol.                                  

T.Ellis : have you accomplish all your goals in the music industry ?                                                                 

Ice Dogg : Yes and No if it happens the question is will I be ready when it happens.                                      

T.Ellis : how would you want your legacy to be remembered ?                                                                   

Ice Dogg : As the hardest working man in the Bay Area Music, that brought the Balance, and Culture back to the soil.and give back to all the artists, DJs, Poets, Singers, Musicians, Dancers, Videographers, Mural Painters, fashionistas children and the elderly.I never want it to seem like it's about me, but for the Greater Bay Area and our Neighboring Fiefdoms.
