RJ Prince what inspired me was my father. I grew up and saw things he had to go through and he always found a way to laugh through it. he introduced me to stand up comedy when I was young. he had a vhs tape by the great Eddie Murphy called raw.                               Travis Ellison how did you get into doing stand up comedy.                                                                                    RJ Prince so my dad is a pastor and on one Sunday for his pastor and wife anniversary he wanted to do something new so he hired two professional comedians and threw me on stage to host it. and the crowd and my dad was amazed at the natural talent they saw.                                                                                  Travis Ellison how long have you been doing stand up comedy                                                                                     RJ Prince I've been doing comedy for nine years I have took it seriously since 2019.                                                 Travis Ellison when you doing your act on stage what is the feeling like                                                                     RJ Prince when I'm on stage it's like a high that I don't wanna come down from. in 2018 I experienced a heart break and I was looking for something to fill that hole in my heart. and there's nothing better to me then when I'm on stage.                                                                 Travis Ellison does some of your comedy comes from life experiences                                                                       RJ Prince  yeah definitely almost everything I talked about came from  something in my life. some good some bad but it always came has a joke. I have a quote that I live by life is a joke, some people just don't get it.   Travis Ellison as a comedian would you consider getting into acting some day.                                               RJ Prince yeah I definitely want to get into acting that was a dream of mine when I was two years old. in 1994 the movie the mask came out and I fell in love with that movie. I would memorize the whole movie then act it out the house. I love movies and I watch it not just to enjoy it to study it.                                               Travis Ellison growing up was there any comedians that influence you                                                                   RJ Prince yeah it was definitely Eddie Murphy and Bernie Mac I would watch them over and over. in 2001 I started watching Dave Chappelle and I love how intelligent his jokes would be.                                              Travis Ellison  where you from.                                            RJ Prince I'm born and raised in Fort Worth Texas          Travis Ellison what is the best part of being a comedian                                                                                RJ Prince best part of being a comedian is being able to control a crowd. make them laugh when you want to make them gasp when you want to even make them go quiet. I truly just love being able to make people smile and feel good. when writing a joke most of the time it'll hit me when I'm driving walking or even having a conversation with someone I'll hurry up and write it down. then I'll call a friend to test the joke out to see how it feels coming out then I'll go on stage to try it out.                                                                                            Travis Ellison what kind of legacy you wanna leave          RJ Prince I wanna leave a legacy that is bigger then me a legacy that my son and kids will be proud of.
