Mystikal : about four years old when rap was barely a thing.                                                                                

Travis Ellison : any musical influence growing up before you started rapping ?                                          

Mystikal : not before as time went on I was listening to Krs One and Snoop Dogg was a big inspiration and when I got a chance to work with him it was unbelievable.                                                                      

Travis Ellison : your first album was mind of Mystikal on Jive Records at that time what was it like being signed to a major label ?                                                   

Mystikal : back then we had to do all the leg work there wasn't no iTunes how it is now , so it was hard.                                                                                    

Travis Ellison : what was your experience like being in the military ?                                                                  

Mystikal ? I'm not gonna answer that question.           

Travis Ellison : your second album came out on No Limit Records what was that experience like working with Master P ?                                                                  

Mystikal : he always treated me well, but people grow apart as you get older and then reconnect down the line.                                                                    

Travis Ellison : doing prison time and losing your sister r.i.p. did those experiences make you stronger to the man you are today ?                              

Mystikal : prison change my life and made me realize it's either death or jail if I didn't change.            

Travis Ellison : how did you develop your rap style ?   

Mystikal : it's just who Iam nothing develop.                 

Travis Ellison : what is your rap style ?                           

Mystikal : not sure what you mean but I'm able to get my emotions out and you feel my emotions in my music.                                                                            

Travis Ellison : which one you enjoy more doing recording in the studio or performing ?                        

Mystikal : they both equally share a special place for me.                                                                                       

Travis Ellison : you and the rap group U.N.L.V. went at it on records back then what started that ?              

Mystikal : that's water under the bridge I'm not gonna open up old wounds.                                           

Travis Ellison : you were once signed to cash money records what was that experience like ?                        

Mystikal : it was like a bad horror movie and we'll, you see how far that went.                                               

Travis Ellison : at some point you left cash money records what was the reason for that ?                          

Mystikal : personal reasons and life just got in the way.                                                                                      

Travis Ellison : out of all the albums you done which one is your favorite and which one is your most personal ?                                                                           

Mystikal : their all personal or I wouldn't have done them.                                                                                   

Travis Ellison : after you got of prison how much time it took you to get back use to society ?                  

Mystikal : im still adjusting it's like a new beginning.    

Travis Ellison : is Mystikal the man the same as Mystikal the rap artist ?                                                     

Mystikal : it's who Iam I wish some tracks were more positive.                                                                               

Travis Ellison : how important is fatherhood ?              

Mystikal : are you serious.                                                

Travis Ellison : what was it like being on the No Limit reunion tour ?                                                                    

Mystikal : it feels like I never left, but then again I'm happy with Red Room Records.                                      

Travis Ellison : how do you deal with fame ?                 

Mystikal : I'm not famous I just have a different job and career then most.                                                      

Travis Ellison : shake ya ass was one of biggest hits any work with the Neptune's in the future ?                 

Mystikal : only time will tell Iam willing to work with artists I work with in the past.                                          

Travis Ellison : your currently signed to Red Room Records/Sony any expected projects coming out ?     

Mystikal : yep, but it's a secret until we start promo.   

Travis Ellison : what kind legacy you wanna leave behind ?                                                                              

Mystikal : do better and live out your dreams.
