1. As vice-president of the Faces of Rap Mothers – What are your daily duties?
To speak with Candy everyday about upcoming events and continuing to build a
strong community presence for upcoming hip-hop entertainers. Building a social
media platform that will inform viewers about the culture and escalating the power
of young men and women, to instill confidence, character, and charisma. To make
sure that Cindy informed of all decisions relating to the rapid success of the Faces
of Rap Mothers. Furthermore, I am the director of the Southern Division of the
Faces of Rap Mothers in which I search for homegrown hip-hop talent and culture
across the southeast to give them an opportunity to be successful. I am a strong
advocate of community service to help my neighborhood flourish and to aid what is
necessary for families to succeed daily.
2. How long have you been the vice-president of the Faces of Rap Mothers?
I received the position of vice-president right after the 2025 West Coast Hip Hop
Awards located in Seattle, Washington. During the West Coast Hip Hop Awards, I
conducted 16 interviews with various upcoming hp-hop artists and influencers in
the industry. I would like to thank Octavis Miller, who is the president of the West
Coast Hip Hop Awards for giving me an opportunity to highlight my talents and
providing guidance to enhance my career.
3. What are the Faces of Rap Mothers about?
Candy Strother Devore Mitchell grew up in a dynamic family that was active during
the Civil Rights Movement, emulating an active lifestyle of the likes of Martin Luther
King Jr. Candy stood on the platform at Capitol Hill and testified on several news
broadcasts over the years. Candy’s emphasis in the world of media and
entertainment when she became the CEO of Black Cash Records and later the
Faces of Rap Mothers syndication. She written a series of books about the
emergence of the Faces of Rap Mothers, which outlines the experiences, her desire
and her journey with entrepreneurial efforts that led to imminent success in the
industry. Candy’s son, KINGthaRAPPER and her daughter Honey are inspiring hip-
hop artists striving for successful music careers. The Faces of Rap Mothers is a
multi-platform entertainment company that bring cultures from past and present,
fused into the realm of reality television, music, African American literature and
community empowerment for women to excel in the industry. The Faces of Rap Mothers brand celebrates storytelling of mothers, daughters, sisters, and children
that engage in the constant, continual resilience of the hip-hop mainstream.

5. As an author, you have any books out?
Yes, I have my book Swept Under the Rug which is now available on Amazon and
Kindle. You can purchase my paperback for $24.99 or a digital version of my book
for $9.99. Swept Under the Rug is a microcosm of my experiences during my
journey in life. It is a fictional story that is intriguing and unique like no other.
6. What inspired you to be an author?
I always wanted to tell my story under my lens. I want someone to read my books
and feel impacted by my story. I want people to know who I am as a person, what
are my needs and wants in life, to fight through adversity and overcome by standing
tall and confident throughout this process. I want people who read my books to be
a teaching tool about life, love and the pursuit of happiness.
7. As an author, what is your most important thing to write about?
Write how you feel. Write what comes to mind. Don’t be afraid to write about your
life because you are the only one that is qualified to talk about YOU. If you have a
spirit that is burning inside, you should follow that spark and turn it into a flame.
Express yourself and don’t hold anything back.
8. Is writing the only part of being an author?
No, being an author takes commitment and to be focused mentally, physically,
emotionally, and spiritually. When I write, I concentrate on bringing a sense of
relaxation that takes me on a rollercoaster ride on which I do not want to get off right
away. I love the idea of bringing all my thoughts together on paper and telling the
world who I really am. Sometimes we can take our past experiences and learn from
them, but the key is to keep some humility, respect, and trust in everything that we
