Yung Lil is a Hip-hop/R&B artist from Philadelphia, PA. Originally growing up in the neighborhood of Mount Airy, he left Philly at the age of 15 and moved to Houston, TX where he would graduate high school and eventually join the US Army at the age of 19. Despite never having a formal release, Yung Lil was known around his base for his freestyles as well as hosting/promoting parties in the local area. He was also a moderator for popular Facebook Group “Hip-Hop Talk AND R&B Conversations” which consisted of multiple artists who influenced him to begin rapping seriously. It was at this point Yung Lil knew he wanted to be a music artist.
His music career began with the Release of his surprise EP “Indifferent”, which garnered the attention of the majority of the 20,000 population in Fort Walton Beach, FL where he was stationed around the time of its release. His original intent was to drop this tape and never do another release again, but after getting so much attention and building a fanbase off of his initial project, he decided to keep going. He dropped his 2nd project “Numb” a year later which featured Voyce Morris, Devin Denell, Macro, and Park Ave. He then went on to drop his first full length studio album “Yung Lil” in 2022.
Yung Lil continued to build a buzz throughout music by performing at Open Mics across Columbus, GA where he was stationed after the release of “Yung Lil”. He most notably would perform at the Sound Factory where he would get his music heard across the Columbus rap scene. Along the way, he formed a group with his long time friend Orri Wit Da 40 and dropped the hit single “Team Rich” which got him noticed by Dipset’s own Tru-L Mattapan’s Goldenboy. Tru-L became a fan of the song and Yung Lil & Orri Wit Da 40’s duo album “North 2 South” which dropped later in 2022 agreed to co-sign Yung Lil by collaborating and promoting him in the music industry.
Since then, Yung Lil has feature in multiple articles and interviews. He also dropped the popular “Ride or Die” dance challenge on Tik Tok and Instagram Reels which was done by multiple people. Most notably popular dancer/Tik Tok user Little Durag (2.1M followers). He recently dropped his single “The Get Back” featuring fellow Mount Airy artist Kur and was featured on Phillly Scoophall.
Today, Yung Lil continues to work on unreleased music as well as do paid shows across different parts of the world. His upcoming album “Through The Storm” is set to be released on all digital platforms Thursday May 22, 2025 featuring lead singles “The Get Back” and “Battle Scars” feat. Tru-L and Tango Da Sanger. He also has unreleased singles with Duke Deuce, Chavo, King Los, and Sexi Kisha those release dates are to be announced!
