Professional Biography
Kedra L. Curry Quintana is an international award-winning filmmaker, director, writer, producer, and
founder of Soulful Minds Media LLC. A visionary storyteller with a passion for cinematic innovation,
her work combines sophisticated visual storytelling with a commitment to authentic African diasporic
cultural representation, supernatural mythology, and compelling narratives.
Her filmmaking journey is grounded in formal narrative training, independent production experience,
and industry mentorship. Kedra completed specialized horror writing training through Sundance
Collab, strengthening her understanding of genre storytelling, suspense, character development, and the
cultural foundations of horror. She further developed her production expertise through mentorship with
industry veteran Trey Haley, director of The Family Business, gaining valuable insight into filmmaking,
feature development, and production strategy.
Kedra has established a growing international presence, with her creative projects receiving more than
88 international film festival selections and over 20 awards during their first year of recognition. Her
work has earned honors across North America, Europe, and international cinema communities.
In 2026, The Legend of William Boucher: The Blood Curse and its companion music video, William's
Song, received two winning honors at the Toronto International Nollywood Film Festival
(TINFF), alongside four nominations. The festival is recognized as a Canadian Screen Award
qualifying festival. Her horror filmmaking also received the Best Horror award at the London
Airflix Film Festival, further establishing the growing international recognition of the William
Boucher universe.
Her additional filmmaking honors include Best Female Director recognition in Milan and recognition
for her work across horror, fantasy, experimental cinema, and emerging filmmaking technologies.
Kedra is currently advancing The Legend of William Boucher: The Blood Curse as a feature film,
expanding an original supernatural horror universe that draws inspiration from Southern Gothic
traditions, African diasporic mythology, Yoruba cosmology, Caribbean spiritual influences, and
ancestral storytelling.
Her growing industry relationships and invitations to international development opportunities,
including the In The Palace development program, reflect her commitment to advancing independent
storytelling into the global film marketplace.
Through Soulful Minds Media LLC and its creative partnership with Tenguu Vision, Kedra continues
to champion original intellectual property, multicultural storytelling, and the evolving possibilities of
